Elizabeth Farnesi-Mitchell, M.A.

Therapist

Liz is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Counseling Art Therapy from PennWest University and holds a Master of Arts degree in Drawing and Painting. With a deep appreciation for the healing power of creativity, Liz’s preferred therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative art therapy, blending artistic expression with evidence-based practices to support mental and emotional well-being.

As part of her clinical training, Liz is collaborating with our practice to broaden her expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including: Behavior Modification to address behavior challenges, Behavioral Activation for supporting individuals managing depression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate anxiety, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for individuals experiencing trauma and symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder.

In her free time, Liz enjoys kayaking, drawing, photography, reading, watching sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Her favorite quote, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life,” by Pablo Picasso, reflects her belief in art’s transformative ability to bring clarity, peace, and healing.
