Melissa is a dedicated First-Generation Mexican-American mental health professional with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University, where she specialized in working with children and adolescents. Her therapeutic style is rooted in a client-centered approach, fostering a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. In addition to her client-centered foundation, Melissa is extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), allowing her to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Melissa enjoys reading, coloring, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
