Jennifer Chicoine, M.A., LCPC, C-DBT
Owner, CEO & Clinical Director
Jen is the Owner, CEO, and Clinical Director of Peaceful Healing Counseling Services. Jen holds a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Christian College. She is a passionate and experienced mental health professional who has been in practice since 2019.
Jen specializes in working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of challenges, with years of formal training in pediatric behavioral issues, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and parenting struggles. Jen also works with individuals who have experienced trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder and complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, and more. Her approach is compassionate, empowering, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Jen is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and she is formally trained to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Trauma-Informed Therapy (TF-CBT). Jen is currently obtaining a certification in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery.
In addition to her clinical work, Jen is a published author of two mental health books (and a children's book currently in production).
Jen enjoys gardening, writing, reading, and taking long walks with her loving husband and their dog, Izzy. These simple joys help her stay grounded and connected to the peace she encourages in others.

Melissa Carrillo, M.A., LCPC, ADHD-CCSP
Mental Health Therapist
Melissa is a dedicated mental health professional with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University, where she specialized in working with children and adolescents. Her therapeutic style is rooted in a client-centered approach, fostering a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. In addition to her client-centered foundation, Melissa is extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), allowing her to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Melissa enjoys reading, coloring, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth Farnesi, M.A., B.S.
Art Therapy Intern
Liz is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Counseling Art Therapy from PennWest University and holds a Master of Arts degree in Drawing and Painting. With a deep appreciation for the healing power of creativity, Liz’s preferred therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative art therapy, blending artistic expression with evidence-based practices to support mental and emotional well-being.
As part of her clinical training, Liz is collaborating with our practice to broaden her expertise in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including: Behavior Modification to address behavior challenges, Behavioral Activation for supporting individuals managing depression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate anxiety, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for individuals experiencing trauma and symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder.
In her free time, Liz enjoys kayaking, drawing, photography, reading, watching sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Her favorite quote, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life,” by Pablo Picasso, reflects her belief in art’s transformative ability to bring clarity, peace, and healing.
Ryleigh Murray
Office Manager
Ryleigh keeps our office running smoothly by coordinating scheduling and appointments, assisting with billing questions, and welcoming every client with a friendly smile.
Outside of work, Ryleigh enjoys spending her free time bowling, reading, and watching great movies.
