Meet Allison
Allison holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and is passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and build meaningful, lasting change.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Allison believes each approach offers valuable tools for understanding thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and personal values. She works collaboratively with clients to provide insight, develop practical coping strategies, and support them in creating lives that feel more aligned with who they are and what matters most to them.
At the heart of Allison’s work is the belief that people are capable of more than they often give themselves credit for. She strives to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, work through barriers, and recognize their own strengths along the way.
Outside of counseling, Allison enjoys reading a wide variety of books, traveling, and spending time with her two cats.
One of her favorite reminders is the phrase “We can do hard things,” from Glennon Doyle’s Untamed. To Allison, the quote represents the courage it takes to move through self-doubt and fear while remembering that difficult experiences do not define what we are capable of achieving.
